Missouri State Youth Soccer Association governs competitive travel soccer at the state level. Clubs compete in flight divisions based on ability. The primary pathway for Missouri players from recreational into competitive travel. U9U19.

Missouri State High School Activities Association. Boys compete in fall, girls in spring. Class 4/3/2/1 based on school enrollment. STL produces some of the strongest programs in the state SLUH, DeSmet, CBC, Cor Jesu, Nerinx.

Illinois IHSA Soccer
Illinois High School Association. Many STL metro players compete on the Illinois side (East St. Louis, Belleville, O'Fallon). Strong programs in Class 3A and 2A. Boys and girls in fall. Metro-East is fertile ground for STL-area scouts.

Non-profit recreational platform. Every player plays, balanced teams, positive coaching emphasis. Entry-level for millions of American kids U4U19. Multiple STL area chapters. Not designed to identify elite talent, but excellent first environment.

US Youth Soccer umbrella recreational leagues run through state associations (MSYSA, ISYS). Local club intramurals and house leagues fall here. The most common entry point for STL kids Gateway Youth Soccer Association runs many STL rec leagues.
